The country’s foremost trade fair on lighting and building automation, scheduled from – 11-13 October, will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Government of India. The pioneer brands in the vanguard of fields like lighting, electrical engineering, home and building automation will unveil their artistic yet innovative and hi-tech solutions that can help leverage many government initiatives to build a smart, savy and a resourceful country. The three-day exhibition will also offer a myriad of networking and sourcing opportunities to the buyers and stakeholders looking for serious businesses and deal closures.
With a clear vision to transform the urban and rural landscape of cities and suburbs, Government of India is tirelessly working on projects like Smart Cities by promoting the advent of smart solutions in almost every sector. Facilitating this mission, Messe Frankfurt and Electronic Components Manufacturers Association (ELCOMA) is organising the three-day co-located shows that is backed with strong support from the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Energy Efficiency Services Limited. (ESSL), Bombay Suburban Electric Supply (BSES) Rajdhani Power Limited, Indian Building Congress IBC, Solar Energy Society India (SESI), Builders Association of India (BAI), KNX National Group India, Continental Automated Building Association (CABA), Solar Energy Society India (SESI), Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) and Confederation Of Real Estate Developers' Associations Of India (CREDAI) NCR.

The concept of these two co-located tradeshows is based on the evolution of every standard city to the smart Indian city, which requires state-of-the-art home and building automation solutions and electrical engineering products. Being one of the largest lighting markets in the world, India attracts the international manufacturers to invest in the project of smart cities. As of now, only metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore are leveraging on smart lighting and energy efficient systems. This trade fair will see exhibitors from India, China, Hong Kong and the UAE who will uncover the lucrative tech-enabled lighting technologies which can be used to support the goal of using smart lights for the streets and offices in Indian cities.
Scheduled right before the festive period in India, the latest edition of Light India and EBTI 2018 will not only showcase ingenious products and innovations but also concentrate on modern aesthetics and design elements to suit the likes of the current generation. The co-existing shows will cover prestigious brands, including Bajaj, Havells, Halonix, HPL Electric, Svarochi, Anchor by Panasonic, Jaquar, Prolite Autoglo, Silvan, Orient Electric, Surya Roshni, and ERD Technologies etc. from the lighting and electrical building and automation sectors.
The three days of Light India and EBTI 2018 will also host an impressive line-up of knowledge oriented seminars, business match making sessions and insightful panel discussions by industry experts. Builders Association of India (BAI) will host internal workshops for their members to discuss challenges and issues faced by the sectors. Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) NCR will bring together some prominent and influential builders, developers, and purchase officers to discuss new business relationships with the exhibitors.
The second day of the exhibition will have members from the country’s most eminent lighting body ELCOMA who will be hosting a series of conferences on the theme ‘Futuristic Intelligent Lighting’. The conference will draw light on relevant insights and cutting-edge research that will encompass breakthrough sessions by key speakers from top market leaders and associations, including ELCOMA, Bajaj Electricals, Crompton, EESL, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Jaquar Lighting, OSRAM, National Institute for Technical Skills (NITS) and UL India to name a few. The industry experts will talk about the technologies and algorithms used in designing the products, its implementation, as well as its impact on corresponding residential segments, commercial spaces and hospitality.
The list of highlights continue with Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) hosting a knowledge forum for interior designers and architects that will highlight the theme ‘The Art and Language of Light’ by trend experts and lighting designers from the light industry.
